Hi! I’m Rosie Warner. I’m a photography major at the University of Central Missouri. Like most everyone else in my classes, my first great love was the Pentax K1000. My parents purchased one at some point during my adolescent years, and my father and I were the only two who learned how to use it. Soon after, I began taking pictures of just about everything around town… and that’s how it began…
However, I also wanted to be good, so I decided to major in it, along with psychology. At the very least, the photography degree will be my stress release in future years.
I am currently 25, and still trying to make my way through school. Education comes with a large price tag, but it will be well worth the expense…

Most everything on this blog is from the two classes I took this summer with Jerry Schmidt. I noticed a big improvement from beginning to end. I am very pleased I took his classes and hope to take more of whatever he is teaching in the upcoming semesters.
Part of what made his classes so beneficial is that we were out and about shooting almost everyday. I never felt like we were being unproductive! … and the results speak for themselves. I am very happy with the improvement I’ve made over the summer! I definitely got my money’s worth with these two classes. Sadly, I can hardly say the same about many other classes I have taken in the last three years.

Hey Rosie!
I’m interested in having you do my senior pictures. You did an amazing job on my friend Taylor’s and I would be happy if you wouldn’t mind taking mine. You can e-mail me and I’ll give you more of my information. I already have two dates that look open, March 18 and/or 20. I’m extremely busy so hopefully this can work out.
Thanks!

Hi! Thank you for your comment! … Well, in answer to your question, I find inspiration in all sorts of strange places
TV, CD albums, Books, Life… I haven’t had the oportunity to experiment with all my ideas, but I like to try new things all the time. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don’t… lol But, as long as you keep trying new things, you’ll stay interested and creative! I try not to be dissapointed when shoots don’t turn out as I planned; they were still fun to dream up and try to bring to life.
I’ve also tried to remember to keep taking pictures just for the fun of taking pictures. It’s sooo easy to become bogged down in everything! Take time for the fun stuff!
