Allison & Jerry–#6 Couples — Rosie Warner

This was a crazy shoot. The pocket wizards were not working properly, we didn’t have much time before dark, and I was covered in poison ivy… All in all, I guess you could say it went pretty good. Thanks to Allison and Jerry for helping me out with this! I really appreciate it!

Layouts:#7–Rosie Warner

I recently designed these layouts for a 5×5 press book. An album is a nice idea for highlighting the best of a shoot without the hassle of ordering a bunch of single prints!

We’ll start with the Cover page!…

#5: On-Location Shoot — Rosie Warner

For Kim, we spent two hours running around downtown, Pertle Spring, and around UCM’s campus with the Lumedyne. I prefer the Lumedyne for ease of use for inexperiencedassistants, aka. Jason. Thanks Jason! I found a cute little yellow couch that looked very ethereal next to the pond at Pertle. The wind was a bit of a hazard causing Jason to have a few issues with the lumedyne with soft-box attachment, but it make the images very moody, blowing Kim’s hair all over the place. Here’s what we got~ Rosie

#1: Gridspot Assignment- Rosie Warner

This was a shoot done with one main light fixed with a honeycomb grid. A fill light and backlights were also used. Courtney was gracious enough to help me out with this assignment. We had a great time, and I think we got some good shots! Hope you like! … and thanks Courtney!

These are 10×20 collages that were made using Photoshop. I’m glad I learned how to do it… Could come in handy with scrapbooking!

One Light… Portrait Assignment #3- Rosie Warner

This assignment was done with one light. I used one flash, with a soft box attachment, and a gray background. I later took them into photoshop and airbrushed them a bit and then brought them into lightroom to add a vignette. My model needed some good pics for her fiance, so I hope they like these! Here’s what we got!

Ratio Lighting: Portrait/Studio Assignment #4- Rosie Warner (updated)

For this assignment, we were to use Ratio Lighting. I had my main light and hair light set at f8, and the fill and main together at f11. The background was a stop below that…

My model was very kind, and she reminded me a bit of a mermaid. The wine was made from coffee grounds; a cheaper alternative to opening a bottle.

Portrait Assignment #6: Alien Bee/Lumedyne- Rosie Warner

For this assignment, I took Taylor out around downtown Warrensburg with a Lumedyne flash. I used an umbrella attachment, and I had a wonderful helper hold the flash for me. They turned out cute, and we plan to go out again sometime one of these evenings to get some sunset/flash pics.

Here’s the results of what we shot at high noon!

In Class Shoot (7/22/08) Food – Rosie Warner

For these shots we had a food stylist come in and set up some dishes for the class. We did some quick high key with 3 Alien Bee lights, a reflector, and a white backdrop. It was a fun shoot and it made everyone quite hungry. In the end, we ate our props…
